Deicide is the first digital project that we were tasked with making in our very first year, for the course Game Design 2: Game Development.
Deicide is a very simple shoot’em up, where you play as an airship, fighting to defend your town against a god. You can fly in all directions, dash on a cooldown, shoot, and pick up and use a few power-ups. The god’s shield reflects bullets, but the head takes increased damage. The god also gets both faster and more dangerous attacks as their health decreases. You can download the game on itch.io if you’d like!
This project was realized by a group of 6 people. I was 1 of 2 programmers handling the programming tasks, in addition to contributing to the general design of the game.
