I Need A Hero is a short school project, created for the course Game Design 6: Experimental Game Design. The goal with this game was to subvert the player’s expectations.
To accomplish this, the game starts out as a simple 2D sidescroller with the player running towards the left until they reach a cliff, where the game becomes a 2D climber. Lastly, once the player ascends to the top of the cliff, the game becomes a 3D runner.
This was made by a group of three people, of which I was the sole programmer.
