Toilet Paper Hustle is a short school project, created for the course Game Design 6: Experimental Game Design. The restriction here was to produce a game with as little inspiration from existing tropes as possible.
The player starts the game in a bathroom, in control of a floating hand, and must search through an apartment for a roll of toilet paper to bring back to the bathroom.
The hand can interact with objects in the apartment and grab them. There is even a Game & Watch console on a table that lets the player play Dance Dance Low Resolution, a 2D game we created with the same team, from within Toilet Paper Hustle.
Our idea with this game was to give the player a goal and win condition, but let them have so much fun along the way that the main goal would become secondary. With more development time, we would have given the player access to more areas to explore, with their fair share of puzzles and minigames.
This was made by a group of three people, of which I was the sole programmer.
